A TRUE CLEVELAND TREASURE
NOTA celebrated a holiday banquet with a fascinating visit to The Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland http://www.MOCAcleveland.org. Our docent, Darrell who herself is an artist, regaled the group with an in-depth history of this showplace and colorful commentary on the ever-changing installations. You see, no piece remains here forever. The building itself “streams its own context, enveloping the Museum in the everyday actions that surround and sustain it.”
Afterward we dined sumptuously at The Mad Greek in Cleveland Heights. Who could pass up exquisite delicacies as avgolemeno, spanakopita or pakoras? Thanks go out to Vitaliy Plinto who prepared fine swag for the taking.
SEE FOR YOURSELF
Here are two snaps from a snowy day in the Heights. Inclement weather didn’t prevent this crew from a tranquil day at the museum. You can see Darrell, our docent who explains a local Cleveland artist’s work to Marie and Reinhold Federmann.
