This message is a second friendly reminder about the 2014 Spring Series Workshop & Cultural Event Program that NOTA will be hosting on May 3, 2014. The program will consists of three events: visit to the Akron Museum of Art, Workshop on Ethics and Confidentiality Practices and a dinner at Cilantro Thai & Sushi Restaurant. Enclosed please find fliers for each of these events that contain more detailed information.

Also, if you plan to attend the workshop, please make sure to submit the corresponding admission fee payment ($10/person – for NOTA Members, $20/person – for non-members, and free for students (with a valid student ID) to the following address: Reinhold Federmann, 3085 Brush Road, Richfield, OH 44286-9630. The RSVP deadline is Wednesday, April 30, 6:00 p.m.

Dear NOTA Members,
 
NOTA will be hosting an ATA Certification Exam, which will be held on May 17th, 2014 from 1 p. m. to 4 p.m. in Satterfield Hall Room 112-A, Kent State University located in Kent, Ohio 44242. Please see the flier attached for more detailed information concerning exam sitting requirements, fees and registration information. Please note: this will be a handwritten exam.
 
All candidates must meet education and experience prerequisites prior to registering for the exam and provide proof of a combination of education and work experience in order to qualify to take the examination. To ensure that you meet the necessary education and experience prerequisites for the exam, you must complete the Eligibility Requirements Form and submit it to the ATA Headquarters along with a payment of $35. You can download the Eligibility Requirements Form as well as the instructions on how to complete it from the following link: http://www.atanet.org/certification/eligibility_requirementsform.php.
 
To be eligible to take the exam, candidate must be an ATA member prior to the exam date and all candidates not currently ATA certified must have offered proof of eligibility in order to register for the exam. All sittings have a maximum capacity and admission is based on the order in which registrations are received at Headquarters.
 
The ATA Exam registration fee is $300. To register for the exam, please go to the following link: http://www.atanet.org/certification/upcoming.php to access the Upcoming Exam Sittings and Registration Form. Please print the form, complete it and submit it to the ATA Headquarters along with your payment of $300. Please note that the payment must be received by ATA Headquarters at least two weeks prior to the exam date (no later than May 3, 2013 for the Kent exam sitting). Otherwise, late registrations, if accepted, are subject to an additional fee of $45, if Headquarters determines that the candidate meets the eligibility requirements, the space is available and that exams can be delivered in time.
