Nine hopeful linguists sat today for the ATA certification exam on Kent’s campus. Imagine tables laden with dictionaries, nerves on edge and the pressure to perform under an unwavering deadline. So appeared the atmosphere in 112A Satterfield Hall. One candidate ventured from Gary, Indiana to throw his hat in the ring. Good luck to the three ladies who recently graduated Kent’s MA Translation Program. NOTA thanks Dr. Sue Ellen Wright, Vitaliy Plinto and Tricia Yacocone-Biago who monitored the exam skillfully. A special shout out to Dr. Geoff Koby who consulted to solve a last-minute glitch.
