NOTA would like to cordially invite you to the upcoming spring series workshop on Immigration and Criminal Defense, which will be hosted on Saturday, May 30th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Akron Summit County Public Library located at 60 S. High Street, Akron, OH 44326.
The workshop will be presented by Alvaro De Cola Esq., an attorney who works primarily in the areas of immigration, visa, citizenship and criminal defense, and Catherine Pina Arrieta, the interpreter coordinator at the Cleveland Municipal Court of Cuyahoga County and has 12 years of experience in the legal interpreting field.
The workshop will mainly focus on the general overview of the criminal proceeding system and immigration system, common areas of interaction between these two systems and the need for language professionals in and out of both immigration and criminal courts. The workshop fee is set according to the following classification: $10 for NOTA members, $20 for Non-members and FREE for students.
