NOTA would like to cordially invite all of you as well as your colleagues and friends to attend our 2015 Annual Meeting Workshop and traditional NOTA Annual Dinner, which will be held on Saturday, October 10th, 2015.
This year’s NOTA Annual Workshop topic will be “The Business Side of Translation and Interpreting“, which will be presented by John P. Shaklee, Jill R. Sommer and Silvia D’Amico. The workshop will focus on different business elements of our profession such as follow ups with clients, email marketing and proper invoicing. The workshop will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10th at Kent State University, Satterfield Hall, Room 311/313. The workshop registration fee will be based on the following scale: FREE for students, $10 for NOTA Members, and $20 for Non-Members. To RSVP for the workshop, write a check for the corresponding amount payable to NOTA and mail it to the following address: Vitaliy Plinto, 6811 Mayfield Road, #1079, Mayfield Heights, OH 44124. Please note that the seating is limited, so you are highly encouraged to RSVP in advance. The deadline to RSVP  for the workshop is Tuesday, October 6th, 10:00 p.m. EST.
This year’s NOTA Annual Dinner will be hosted at La Terraza Restaurante Mexicano, an authentic Mexican cuisine restaurant located in Brimfield, OH, which is 10 minutes away from Kent. The restaurant will feature some of the most exquisite and hottest selections from traditional Mexican cuisine including but not limited to: Nachos, Burritos, Enchiladas, Quesadillas, Fajita Bowls, Carnitas, Pollo Y Camaron, Camarones de Mojo de Ajos, Chimichangas, Roquetas and more. The dinner will begin at 5:00 p.m. The cost of the dinner will be around $30/person with taxes and gratuities included in the price. To RSVP for the dinner, please send an email to Vitaliy at vvp13ster@gmail.com and indicate the total number of guests (including yourself) in your group who will be attending the dinner. Please do not write a check to NOTA, as you will be making payment directly to the restaurant after the dinner upon receipt of an individual bill that will include taxes and gratuities. The deadline to RSVP for the NOTA Annual Dinner is Saturday, October 3, 2015.
